Jaw locked down like the grip of pressures pain,
Palms wet like the mermaid last night,
I wish I could remember her name.
She was so tight.
The baseball bat blow I sustained,
that’s why I can’t remember her name.
Head numb, number, but free from the gun,
Sat at my bedside each night before I fade.
Decisions split like the bar I swallow,
To banish the pain.
Is it worth it?
